Farewell Houston

Spending time in Houston with my family has been a pleasure, but my trip has come to the end a nd I have to head back to Nuevo York. I'll miss the hot sun, green grass, and the ability to see the sky and ground meet. While spending time in the south, I decided to keep it light and breezy with some of my backyard and cookout outfits. Forever21 was my choice when it came to my summer ensembles because they always carry something light and fresh. I'm just a southern girl, who enjoys good food, sunny days, a cute clothes.

Light and Breezy

The summer is all about wearing the thinnest clothes possible, especially when you’re walking around the streets of NYC. I was shopping around the web on Sheinside.com, when I came across this floral dress. What initially attracted me to the dress was the high split in the front, very sexy lol! When I recieved the dress I was in love with how light it was, just then I knew it was a summer catch! If you follow my blog you know I hate wearing sunglasses, but I couldn’t resist these dope aahhh shades from Forever21. My shoes came from Amsterdam, a cute little boutique in Soho, and just like that my outfit is complete! I’ll just be over here living light and carefree if you need me!

Modest Monday

A perfect work outfit is a modest outfit. Pantsuits are the best no matter what occupation you have. This suit is from my favorite online shopping store Missguided.  I love the design and the light colors. The fabric is a little heavy for summertime in Texas, but lately in NYC we’ve been having a little cooler weather, especially in the evening, so its worked out. The suit is a little baggy but I like it that way. Do you love it or hate it?

A little Model

Beauty and skin modeling is a great passion of mine, so every now and then I decide to shoot. I was looking through my portfolio and was reminded how much I love the pictures taken by photographer TarriceLove. I remember him just greasing me up and we went to work. I wore very little to no makeup and showed a lot of skin, well just the shoulders and maybe a little back lol! This New York City shoot by far was one of my favorites, I have to do more! What do you think?

“The secret to modeling is not being perfect. What one needs is a face that people can identify in a second. You have to be given what’s needed by nature, and what’s needed is to bring something new.”

Hello Yellow

A friend of mine invited me down to Texas for her baby shower and so naturally I wanted to wear something super cute! I was the only one who knew the sex of the baby, and since I was a host of the baby shower I wanted to wear something sexually ambiguous. This matching yellow top and pleated mini skirt from MisguidedUS.com was the perfect fit. My chunky boots came from H&M summer collection; they now have the boots in all black. I was so happy to be home amongst friends and able to reveal the sex of this little special baby with all of the mother’s guests! Family is so important and so is looking good! Brittany, the mommy to be, wore a maternity dress from Asos and shoes from Aldo. Check out the flipgram welcoming our little Bash!

“Clothes as text, clothes as narration, clothes as a story. Clothes as the story of our lives. And if you were to gather all the clothes you have ever owned in all your life, each baby shoe and winter coat and wedding dress, you would have your autobiography. You could wear, once more, your own life in all its stages, from whatever they wrapped you in when you emerged from the dark red naked warmth of the womb to your deathbed.”
